We had such a warm welcome from the owners and the property was spotlessly clean. The rustic decor added a cozy touch to our stay. The cottage had stunning views, especially from the carpark area. It was conveniently located, with a short drive to nearby attractions like Grosmont and Goathland. The owners even gave us a great tip for a local fossil hunting spot, which our dinosaur enthusiast son absolutely loved!
Although the cottage was charming, it could have been cleaner upon our arrival. The shower also had some issues and needed to be fixed.

Had a very enjoyable stay at Lavender Cottage. The location was excellent for exploring the beautiful Whitby and the coast. The cottage itself was comfortable, clean, and had lovely decor. The double bed was very comfortable and warm, with extra blankets available. The enclosed courtyard would be perfect for sitting outside in the summer. Star gazing at night was a highlight!
The shower didn't work too well and the lack of blinds on the rooflights could be troublesome during the light summer nights. However, these were minor inconveniences and didn't greatly affect our overall stay.

This cozy and spacious cottage is the perfect retreat for exploring the beautiful coastal area. With its rustic decor and stunning sea views, you'll feel right at home. the friendly hosts provide excellent recommendations and even left treats for our four-legged friends. the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable rooms make for a relaxing stay. Plus, the convenient location offers easy access to the charming village of Robin Hood's Bay, where you can enjoy picturesque walks along the coast.
While the cottage offers a comfortable stay, the lack of control over the heating can lead to temperature fluctuations during the evening.

The location of the cottage was great, with convenient access to both Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby. The host was very friendly and welcoming, providing helpful advice during our stay. We also appreciated the lovely views of the surrounding area.
The shower and hot water tap in the downstairs bathroom didn't work properly, and there were smelly drains in the kitchen. the lack of a headboard in the twin bedroom was a hazard as we kept bumping our heads on the curtain rail behind the bed.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage just a short drive away from the beautiful seaside village of Robin Hood's Bay. the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with great tips for local attractions and even leaving treats for our dogs. the cottage was clean, well-organized, and had a lovely viewing area where we could enjoy stunning sunsets. the WiFi was excellent, and the cottage had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
The cleanliness standards could be improved, as there was some dog hair on the sofa and floors, and the bathrooms were not spotless.
